You can avoid paying the extra Call Center fee by calling Tech support instead. Most likely, the only reason one of us would use the call center is because there was a issue that could not be resolved on the website - all the justification you need to call tech support.

Living in Canada, with a stronger dollar, RCI should be taken to the ethics committee on this one. Oop's can someone explain to RCI the meaning of the word "ethic's"

Is there a different fee for International exchanges or are they ALL $179/199?

Just another step to run their members away!

And the comment on charging Canadians more than Americans is spot on. The loony has been right at par with the greenback. Their attitude to Canadians is nothing but thievery.

I'm surprised they haven't increased their guest certificate fees along with everything else. I am so glad I only have one week left on deposit with them.

When the cost for an exchange for a Canadian member reached $200 a while ago I bailed on RCI - there are plenty of other exchange company fish in the sea!

                  Internet vs Call Center

                  Error Message
                  WKSSIE:

Sorry, we were unable to process your request. Please try again
                  - if you continue to get this message, please call the Call Center.

Should a member have to pay the Call Center
Rate - when the company website is down?

                      Don't give them any ideas.

Usually not---especially if you end up getting transferred to tech support (hint hint).

                          Read the fine print

I know it's easy to complain about the company but read the ** at the bottom of the RCI doc. In Canada GST/PST/HST is added. Given that HST is 12% here in good old Campbelland that means the price before tax is $198 (Cdn), with a $0.96 dollar our USD fee is $190. So before we Canadians complain about RCI's ethics let's know the facts.

Maybe that is true in Ontario and BC but there is no PST or HST in Alberta but we still pay.

Interesting that your first post is to defend RCI. Any connection?

If you are a Canadian, you would seem to know that the loony is now worth more than the greenback, and so I am curious why you talk of a ''$0.96 dollar''
