  • Does anyone else have a 1pt. Deposit Credit in their account?

This suddenly turned up in my account. Does this mean that if I want an exchange and I need one extra point, I can pay $99 to use this one?

I don't see that in my account. Is it a point account, or a week account?

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Yes that's what it means, assuming it stays in your account. Funny, there is a week I would book if I had one extra point in my "deposit credit," but I am not going to pay $99 to combine in order to do it. I put in an ongoing search and hopefully the tpu value will come down enough to match. We'll see...

        I have one, too.
I made an exchange using a 26 TPU deposit for a 25 TPU trade so I got change.

My plan is to keep all the orphans there until things start to get within a year of expiring and then combine.

Glitter, I would give you my orphan but it would cost $99 to transfer and then $99 to combine.

I have a 5 point orphan and also a late deposited week worth 12. When the time is "right" I will combine them and get something. Waiting until right before the late deposited week expires seems like the best bet for spending an additional $99.

Right Joy b/c you get a two yr time frame from the time you combine, so it's like an extension -- more for your buck.

This one isn't an orphan, because I haven't done any transactions since RCI changed over. I haven't even deposited something. The one point is something RCI put there for no apparent reason....

This is a Weeks account, btw.

Same thing in my account. I haven't had any account activity since the changeover, but there is an orphan point in my account

I have one point leftover too. Is there an option to book with less than required TPU and then "buy" extra for an exchange? Probaby an expensive option.

Or not -- if I were to combine, the overall expiration would be two years from today - earlier than my current deposits...

My intent is to combine the lowly 5 points with the lowly 12 point late deposit that expires in December 2012 same as the 5 TPU. Though I may need to rethink this sincce I have two units expiring in during summer 2012.

This could be interesting. With this new system there is the opportunity to never have anything expire. OK, of course it costs $99 everytime you combine, but think of the possibilities for those of us that have busy accounts.

It seems that RCI did some minor adjustments to some deposits, that were made under the old system, a few weeks ago. Maybe more recently too, I don't know. I had a 2 TPU line show up after the new system came in back in December. Good timing for me as I already had change expiring, so I used the 2 TPU line to do my first combo.

If you go into Manage My Account and look at the Vacation Details box, at the bottom is a red link to Trade Power Report. Click on that. Click on Show/Hide Details on your mysterious deposit line. When it opens it will show you the transactions related to it. Probaby just 1 but it'll give you a date and you can see when the action occurred. Also, you 'should' be able up to match up the exipry date of the mystery line to a deposit of a week you had made. That was how I determined that my 2 TPU adjustment came from one of my summer Cape Cod weeks.
