I just purchased a timeshare at Sheraton Vistana for one floating week and was told upon purchase (it was a resale) that I could trade through RCI for points - 57K to be exact. Now Sheraton is telling me b/c it is a resale, that I can't trade through RCI> does that sound right?? Also, I had another RCI person say that since it was a floating week, I could only do the RCI Weeks program, not RCI points. HELP! I am so new at this and feel like I am getting runaround. I bought the timeshare so I could get the RCI Points each year, not the RCI Weeks and not the week at the Vistana.

Oooooo.
Just waiting for the folks to come along telling ya to buy where ya wanna go!!! (even though RCI states that exchanging is a reason for buying for 87% ??? of their members)
No one should be telling ya ya can't use RCI. As to the specifics as what you can do, I don't know. I'm a simple, old fashioned guy, and prefer monogamy . . . you know one-for-one without deviant manipulating.
There use-ta-be someone who would tell me what to tell you, but I don't think that's happening any more.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
