  • RCI Weeks Deposits

With the current deposits you have with RCI, what is the most TP that you have for one deposit?

I currently have one unit deposited with RCI and it has 22 TPs.

    June 2-9, 2012 in Orlando, deposited 8-6-2010.

53 TPUs. It would have gotten 59 if I had been able to deposit it earlier but as I just bought it, timing is what it is. This is the 2BR side of a lock out unit. Other side got 38 TPUs (high would have been 45). I am pretty pleased.

          I've heard 20-ish is average.

Using that, do some searching and see how many exchanges now require more than one deposit for an average deposit.

          Or don't.

OK, let me. Interesting that RCI does not allow you to search All Available by TPUs! That would be too easy, huh?

&, unfortunately, the 20 point is in the 19-23 bracket. So, for the sake of this example, let's round down to 18, rather than up to 24, simply because 18 is closer to 20 than 24 is, and lets search areas to see how many exchanges take 19 or more (unavailable-m/l- to an average deposit).

If someone wants to, say on a snowy day, that is everything available at this time, I believe. So, you can figure the number system-wide, the number of exchanges requiring two deposit for the average deposit . . . pretty close.

            Here, let me check.

Yup, 157913. Pretty much everything right now.

Remembering that everyones numbers will not be the same because of dates of the deposits....
              All Deposits available - 154,982
              47 TPU deposit sees - 154,981
The same week 1 year earlier so a shorter use time sees in the 130's

But if you search NOT against a deposit, you can see everything, right? How many exchanges are there total, regardless of points needed?

For the purpose of discussion, comparison, analysis, or whatever, I am confident that the figures I have posted are accurate, within a range of relevance, at the point in time I obtained them.

My answer would be Yes, as long as at least one of your deposits is good for the next 24 months. If you have at least one that is, and you search using just it, my answer would also be Yes.

I think Wacky means "All Deposits" not a particular deposit

Also remember even if you look 3 minutes apart, the total number is constantly shifting.

The account I used "search all deposits" has a week that goes thru July 2013 so my 47 TPU sees everything except 1 deposit available - that tells me there is only 1 deposit that requires more then 47 TPUs during my time frame....other times I see a 10-15 unit difference - meaning there are Manhattan Club deposits available online in the 48-56 TPU range.

And giving 60 TPUs to an Orlando deposit but not charging 60 to get in....it is a house of cards, isn't it!

I used my 43 TP deposit for something and received back 10 TP in change. I also have three other deposits including 13 (2010 Flagstaff) and 11 + 13 for the two sides of the 2011 Williamsburg L/O unit. So any "single" deposit I have to search is a max of 13. I also have the ability to search "ALL" irrespective of how many TPs I have on account, singularly (max 13) or collectively.

                          Does that answer your question?

As soon as I posted, it occurred to me that now you could have no deposits, but have TPUs, in which case you would be searching on no deposits, I guess, since I don't see it as being a likely case for me/us.

& as I said before, for our purposes here, the figures I compllied are good enough, better than we've ever had or anyone has put together before.

I purposely did not add my conclusions.
