Ah well. It is what it is. In the meantime, I have to ponder what to do with this week....

How long does it take for a deposit to turn up in RCI?

OMG, you are not going to BELIEVE this! I just checked it again--and now it's 23 again!!!!! I printed it out. I'm going to try to get through to RCI NOW and deposit it NOW!
BTW, this morning I checked it three times over an hour (with two different browsers) and it stayed 17, so it's not just that I hit the wrong week or something.

But if the resort does the deposit - cause that's the way they've set up their interface with RCI - does it matter that the 'Deposit Now' option shows in my RCI account?
This whole resort doing the deposit instead of me is new to me. I was surprised to see the 'Deposit Now' option show up in my RCI acct. after my first deposit, due to the resort interface thing. I would LOVE to be able to make my rezzie for my float week (like normal) and then do the deposit online myself. I guess when the next time comes to make a deposit I can try to do it online thru RCI and see what happens. It'll be less of a stressful situation as this time I was working against the clock due to purchase timing.

I could have deposited my Tybrisa week in December for a max value of 34 (adjusted slightly for being late) but I waited until I got the maintenance fee bill to pay it. They require you to pay before deposit. By mid-January, the max fee was down to 28. I watched it for a month, but finally gave up and took the lower value. Lesson learned. Next year I'll pay and deposit in December. Of course, it could go totally different next year.

Ugh, after much time on the phone with RCI and with my resort, I told the resort to deposit it. Again, this will take several days--incredibly, 7-10 days.
I now have a printout showing the 23 points, not that it will make any difference, per RCI. The deposit calculator is just a guide, not a commitment.
I have a headache.
