Our Deposits Get Taken

Since being able to check, I have never found that any of our deposits did not get taken. I just checked on the three 2011 weeks we have deposited, and none of them are available, not only at our resort, but at any resort in the area.

If supply and demand were the basis of setting points lite numbers, that would mean something, but unfortunately it does not seem to be much of a factor in the secret witches brew they use to conjure up the points lite numbers.

Some here have chosen to give me crap about what they refer to as uptrades. If they knew the facts, maybe they wouldn't, but, then again, based on my many years on the Internet, maybe they would.

The facts are that if you were to consider supply and demand, it is logical that the two RCI resorts in the area where we own provide a much limited supply relative to demand than the 56 RCI resorts in the one area we like to exchange into. Plus, there are only so many Spring Break ski weeks, which we own, as compared to the Snowbird Season weeks in SW FL we like to trade into.

So, on that basis, which translates similarly into free market rental value, our exchanges over the years have been comparable, with an occasional uptrade tossed in, I'm assuming as a customer loyalty perk.

But, of course, I would not expect anything RCI does to assign values to be as analytical and objective as that.
