  • Finding Exchange Value on RCI Website

Hello! I just gained access to my RCI weeks account and am trying to find my way around. I don't have the catalog yet, so am limited to the website. I was able to log in. I plan to make a deposit, but am hoping to determine how many weeks I need to deposit for a trip to Hawaii (Maui or Kauai).

I thought I read here somewhere that once you were a registered member at RCI and logged in, the points required to exchange would show up when you viewed the different resorts available. When I log in and view the resorts, it shows me a dollar figure, but no number appears in the exchange trading power column. Is this because I don't have a week deposited yet? I don't know if I deposit first, then try to hold a resort, or hold first, but then I don't know how many weeks to deposit I must be missing something somewhere.

(btw, my UVC membership guarantees that my weeks deposit for 15 TPU each and UVC will match my week if I need it to make my exchange)

Thank you to anyone that can help. Thanks also for all the wonderful information on this site. I have learned so much these past few weeks!

Log in, then go to "Manage your Deposits" at the top of the page, 3rd button from the left.

On the right you will see a section called "Deposit Tool and Resources".

Click on the second section, called "Deposit Calculator".

Type in the name of the resort you are going to deposit in the section called "Resort ID/Name".

Fill in the unit number/name or Interval/Year and the Trading Power Result will appear in the bottom left hand section. Maximum will appear for deposits 9 months out, and the actual trading power will be less if the deposit is less than 9 months away.

Thank you! I found it. My deposit is already a set amount, but the exchange calculator just below that is showing me a range for the area I'm wanting to exchange into. That really helps! Thanks!!!

BTW, you might not get a real catalog. RCI just emailed me a ''digital version'', claiming it was to improve their so-called ''carbon footprint'' (if you are into that ideological movement, that may mean something, but for the rest of us it is just hogwash) but really I suspect it is mainly to cut their own costs to put more of the membership fee in their own pocket and not have to really provide the services they are supposed to for that fee. I do not know if this is just for European members now, or if it will also be coming to US members, too.

I suspect they still print some copies of the catalog, because developer sales weasels would be at a loss without them, so maybe you could demand one.

That's too bad. I like the idea of being more ecologically conscious, but I sometimes it is nice to have a hard copy to flip through and I was looking forward to it. Thanks for letting me know.

The way they have down scaled the actual resort book ( catalog) I am not at all impressed with it, online is far better JMHO>

I can't remember the last time I opened the catalog, and I do something RCI almost every day.
