A recent email announced that because of wanting to reduce their so-called ''carbon footprint'' (translated meaning - because they are cheapo jerks and cutting their costs at members expense) they are no longer printing resort directories. Instead they give a link to an online directory. That is much more of a pain to use. Among other things, certain European countries throw vacation cottages in which an owner may give them a week or two in with real timeshare resorts, and also throws in trailer park ''resorts'' with real timeshare resorts. If you want to seek out the real timeshare resorts, it makes it real cumbersome as you have to wade through all this other stuff.
I don't know if the North American office will do the same. This came from the European office.
At least personally, this is one more reason to be glad about no longer giving RCI any more deposits. At least DAE still prints a physical directory, at least its European office does, and its online directory treats timeshare resorts and cottages seperately so you don't have to wade through one to get to the other. Hooray for DAE.
