I don't think publicly posting them would be a good idea, as i read over this thread alot of good points have been made...If just one or two are posted everyone will jump on those like the SA Timeshares...when the listed if finally posted from the PM's it will be as concise and long as possible...Its important to have all the information down so its as clear as possible also...If you have any other suggestions for this list, please don't be afraid to talk about it in this thread...We're still just in the planning stages

They're not so public.
You have to have an account to even be able to calculate the TPU's. That makes these numbers valuable to those who don't readily have access to this info. Why share with total strangers and create competition for yourself.

The ones most likely to change are those where RCI is gifting a large part of the deposit credit. Look at what the same week is really worth by what RCI charges for a trade in to the same week. If they give a lot more than that for the deposit, it should be a big red flag that the deposit credit number may not last.

Good point...so do you think it would be best to list both the deposit credit amount AND the amount of credits to exchange into that same week?

I do have trouble taking NO for an answer...its not even a complete sentence...it has no depth or reasoning behind it...you learn nothing from 'no'

Are there further issues beyond what happened with the South African Timeshares that make this not a good thing to do?

I believe we can avoid the South African issue if we have a large enough list(over 100+ TS) spread out over a large enough area(East, West, Mid America)....that way its not everyone pushing for the same Resort, or even area....so competition is basicly eliminated it also keeps the market from getting flooded and the supply/demand curve going screwy

In my opinion you fail to realize that those of us who have been around for years and years (decades in fact) and have more experience with RCI than you, and will not be party to your "list."

You are the new kid on the block and seem to think that you know best and want others to follow you...ain't gonna happen, and yet you fail to realize it. You keep harping on the same thing, over and over, again and again, and continue to post on various threads about you "list."

One would think after getting dozens of responses that you would "get it," but you don't.

Of course you won't take "no" for an answer; just like a spoiled child, and even when a valid reason is given, you take that reason and refuse to believe or understand it.

I know you will attack me, and that's fine. I have been around timeshare since 1985 and have as much or more experience than most on the board. I have seen changes, both good and bad. Unfortunately in the more recent past the changes have been bad and I do not see them getting better...at least for the timeshare owners.

Compiling a list, even if that list contained 500 resorts will just give RCI more insight than it already has to what owners and exchanges consider the most bang for the buck. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that a July 4th week on the beach most anywhere is worth more than a mud season week at a ski resort, or that getting 32 TPU for a maintenance fee of $350 is a "good deal." Putting that information "out there" will only assist in closing those finds and RCI again tweaking their system.

Joy...i have alot to write in response to all the incorrect *points* you've made in your post...it may take awhile though...there was ALOT of misinformation and just incorrect assumptions in there...Not only the assumption that you know more about the BRAND NEW TPU System in RCI since you've been Timesharing for awhile....But the COMPLETELY false information about the information that WILL be provided in this list...The details of the list have been outlined over and over again...Please READ the thread before posting in it

Please give me some time to write it out....theres ALOT of just wrong information you've posted and its going to take me awhile to post all the corrections

Thank you for posting it though...it may help me correct other peoples incorrect assumptions also with my responses
