I redeemed points to receive a "free night" at Wingate...and had planned to use the certifcates (got 2) during our trip to/from HHI later this summer. I"m having trouble finding a Wingate Inn that accepts the certificates. Everytime I call the 800 number (as instructed per the certificate); the customer service rep tells me "that particular hotel doesn't accept the code". I spent over an hour calling the Wingate in Rock Hill, SC, talking to the manager (who assured me they would accept the certificate...but, it had to be booked via the 800 number). Finally, she called the 800 number, gave the "okay"; then had me call the number to book our room. Now, I'm trying to use the other certificate for our return trip....and having no luck getting the certificate to work in Winchester or Lexington, VA (stops along our route). 
I purposely traded in my points knowing we would use these certificates during our trip. Has anyone else had trouble redeeming RCI travel (hotel) certificates?
