Poll: Unit numbers on RCI confirmations

If you have (or had) RCI confirmations with unit #s assigned, please check them in your account online and respond to the poll. Please also reply here with the resort name if you previously had a unit assignment and it is now disappeared.

Please do not respond if your confirmation(s) are all for resorts that you knew had floating units not assigned until checkin when you booked your week.

I have a confirmation for Smuggs that was confirmed with a unit # last Jan. (and thankfully I printed it.) It's no longer there.

Yep, Smuggs is on my list - a huge variety across units/village there.
Also, Il Poggio and Ponds at FoxHollow (though I care less about the unit numbers at these two)

Count mine gone too. I had only printed two of them when I made the reservations. One is in RCI Points and the other in my weeks account and the units numbers are gone from both.

I was under the impression that Points confirmations never listed the unit ID.

DVC confirmations used to list a unit code that represented the inventory bucket list. Many confused it with a specific room #. That unit code is no longer on the confirmation generated on-demand when you ask for one.

I did not notice if the units were on the online confirmations but I have a confirmation from last january for a resort that has fixed weeks/fixed units and it is on the Email confirmation I received. Made a reservation a couple of days ago and again when I check online the unit is not there but it is on the confirmation that was emailed to me. Not the auto confirmation but the one that comes a few days later

I had a unit number assigend from exchange into Bouganvillas Resort in PV Mexico. Numer was 1880 a two bedroom, I even had someone check on unit to see how it seemed, now online no unit number...grrr.

That's odd, none of the follow-up email confirms I got from RCI ever had unit numbers (the ones that come after the 24 cancelation has passed).

I can't vote since there is no place to vote for NEVER there.
Since I've mostly done RCI points like Bnoble says they're never there.
Don't have much experience with weeks so didn't really pay attention to that in the past.

I have noticed that with some resorts, the check-in date corresponds with certain views or buildings. Recently a Sunday check in for me at Vistana Jensen meant that I was in the beachfront building. This might only work for fixed week resorts though.

That's odd, none of the follow-up email confirms I got from RCI ever had unit numbers (the ones that come after the 24 cancelation has passed).

The latest one I did the 24 hour confirmation came yesterday.... so it is recent. Maybe it is based on whether the resort wants the option to move folks around? The resort I booked is very small only 54 total units. They are all fixed week/fixed unit.
