Are you adjusting what you can see? Alot of the Resorts in NYC are 50-60 TPU's, so unless you have a few big deposits...you won't see them unless you set it to "Show all available RCI vacations"

    Right now i see:

    4 Resorts (136 available units)

As Ride said, you need to change your search option to "Search all available RCI exchanges". It will then show u even the units that u do not have enough TPUs to see.

If RCI keeps the TPUs high enough, they can put them in the rental pool after a certain amount of time (30 days?). I'm sure you'll find plenty of Manhattan Club weeks in Extra Vacations.

I wish they would bump up the AKV to 60TPU...i'd love to see more of those available!

I have exchanged into the Manhattan Club, HGVC West 57th Street, and Hilton Vacation Club through SFX. We just got back from the Hilton Vacation Club in NYC. I believe SFX is your best option for NYC timeshares and they don't have any 1 in 4 rules nor do you have to pay the extra resort fees that RCI exchangers have to pay.

Yep, that was the problem. Now I can see them, but with a big notice on top informing me I am still under the one-in-four rule.

Nuthin' much on the points side either - except in the "extra vacations".

I concur with SFX on NYC. SFX is also better for an even harder trade than NYC, London.

It is also interesting that the junk fees charged to RCI exchangers at MC are not charged to SFX exchangers, but that seems par for the course. I once used DAE to trade into a summer week on the French Riviera at a resort that was also with RCI. They piled on over $100 of extra fees on top of utilities on the RCI exchangers ahead of us, but using DAE the only extra fee we had to pay was for electricity, which worked out to not very much at the end of the week. I have also heard that the extra fees RCI exchangers pay at Schloss Grubhof in Austra are not charged to DAE exchangers. So it appears this is yet another advantage to using independent exchange companies.
