So back and read the threads on RCI's rentals. It is prime inventory that exchangers very much do want that RCI is renting. Thanks to RCI's diversion of this inventory, exchangers have no access to it. And RCI often never lets this prime inventory hit the exchange spacebank at all. It is immediately diverted to rental as soon as it is deposited.

Its a hard thing to figure out...at what point do you just say "you know what, the exchangers just don't want this"

It depends on how far out they are deposited. Some have to go to the Exchange Pool only first, and some can go to both the Exchange and Rental pools when they are deposited.

        Ride -

You don't seem to have grasped what is going on with RCI. The sellout, er ''settlement'' that the unethical class action lawyers agreed to, leaving their clients twisting in the breeze in order to score a million dollar payout in fees for themselves, did give RCI a fig leaf as to RCI for certain of its diversions, although that still does not make them ethical. It is also significant that before that RCI openly lied to its members claiming they were not doing that. Even that fig leaf is only very temporary.

There are still lots of deposits made a long time out that even with RCI's settlement fig leaf, they are still putting straight into the rental pool. Indeed RCI adjusted the time for maximum credit on deposits when they rolled out Points Lite specifically to encourage more deposits during a time frame when under the sellout / settlement they were not restricted into putting them directly into the rental pool.

The other thing I wonder about, Ride, is that OY you have made quite a few posts in which you were highly suspicious of HOA's, yet you swallow anything RCI sends down the pike, hook, line, and sinker. Most HOA's are trustworthy but RCI has clearly demonstrated that they are not.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely...or something like that...RCI has to watch its step as there are dozens of other exchange companies out there...this is why most people get MORE Tpu's then you believe they deserve...

On the other hand...You can't get a new HOA, sure you can TRY to vote in people that aren't in the pocket of the developers...but we all know, those people don't last long...HOA's are about as trustworthy as union officials...IF that much

Now that I seem to have confirmed that I can both extend our deposit and grow it, for $99, it appears that some sanity has overtaken the points assessor at the company, and 19 would be enough to get what we would likely use our last scheduled deposit for.
