I think most of the changes have been Points-side; they now have a Weeks-like flexible search tool, rather than the old-style predefined-area/limited-date-range search that Weeks got rid of years ago.

That makes sense. I logged in to weeks last night and didn't see anything different. It just looks a little prettier.

The points side was just working for me. I see some good and some bad. You can search points and weeks at the same time, much better. You are presented the available check-in dates in calendar format. You can't see the unit size that is available until you give the check-in date and in some cases you have to give both check-in and check-out dates before you see what size is available. That just means that you have to set your minimum unit size before you start to search but it will take some getting used to before I remember to do that every time...

I still can't get into points.

I did get into weeks side and did several searches including all available inventory even those that I did not have enough TPU's to confirm.

Looks pretty much like before except that I can not use filters by date.

Historically, the longer the site is down, the longer it takes to to sort through the mess once it's gone live.

I had no trouble getting on and the one thing I noticed was the price of Extra Vacations has gone up.

RCI weeks is still causing Internet Explorer to shut down as soon as I hit "search for a vacation". I think they have removed the sort key for Platinum. I'm not seeing a much anything new from ex-ops posted last week.

I also can't seem to get a date range search to work. I plug in parameters, hit search and the parameters are abandoned.

Priority Access is still in RCI Points but I am having same parameter issues on dates.

Have any of you tried to pull up actual availability or tried to book a unit in RCI points?

I had one rather rare property come up and show 32 units available? Most were only one night stays, or at least that is what the system was showing/allowing to be put in for check-out. Did they change points? I thought minimum was 3 nights???

I can not get a date range list of units from points or weeks resorts in RCI points.

When you look at the summary page showing all the resorts, it shows all available units - which is a combination of weeks and points inventory. However, when you click on the specific resort, it only brings up 3 months at a time, showing an actual calendar with dates higlighted, so you have to actually select the check-in/check-out date. You don't know size unit. What they did was put literally every available date on there, so you can see all 1, 2, 3,4, etc night stays. You have always been able to book 1 or 2 days but the fees are stupid when you consider the reservation and housekeeping fee. I try and never book less than a full week because of those fees

This was my first and very quick glance in RCI Points and I also find it lacking. The old way was cumbersome but this is bordering on ridiculous. The amount of clicks to find out what a "check-in" actually consists of ( unit size and length of stay) is absurd.
