Due to a number of factors I may have to let a banked week that is carrying 19 points with RCI expire. I have just checked in my RCI account and those points are showing me 26,750 units at 1,893 resorts worldwide, including many options to split the 19 points into 2 weeks at the same resort back to back. The last travel date for these points would be 29th April.
I am currently waiting on my son getting back to me regarding him setting up something with a few friends but I think the chance of that going ahead is fairly low. That being the case can someone explain what my options are for transferring on the "New Weeks" generated points to someone else's account.
I do have a seperate RCI "Points" account and know how to transfer the points with that, but the "new" weeks system is still a little cloudy to me.
I know I could book something for someone and then have them pay me the cost of the exchange and the guest certificate but I don't fancy checking a whole bunch of requests to see if a certain resort is available, on a certain date for everyone.
It just seems a shame to let the points expire.
