OK, here's the deal. After 115 exchanges, we have cut way back on RCI, so I have almost forgotten how pleasurable it is to try to do business with them.

First, so that I could do business with RCI, I tried to redeem some Elite Rewards. That site said I had to call in to complete the transaction, so I did, but while waiting I saw it had gone through after all. A person confirmed that, but then said it takes up to two weeks now for the credit to appear in your account. He said that was because of a change RCI made.

So, now over to RCI. I actually saw an exchange we would actually use, at a resort and in the timeframe just like in the good old days. My deposit could even get it, if it did not expire sooner. So, I had to combine deposit and credits to extend the trading window.

Now I can't see anything, so, obviously, can't get the exchange I started trying to get three or four hours ago.

And, sure enough, the credit from Elite Rewards is not there either.

Yesterday was a great day, with everything going right. Today it has been Comcast, State Farm, Bank of America, and RCI. I'm pretty much worn out.

Me to BOA today:

There are many complications for us, a domino affect, by your closing of our account, and the block you have placed on it.

Here's one. I redeemed RCI Elite Rewards credits yesterday, and placed an exchange on hold with RCI, that I intend to use the Member Dollars for.

This morning I have spoken to RCI, BOA, and the third party that handles that program. The short of it is that the block that you have on our BOA account has prevented the redemption from being credited at RCI, which is preventing us from going through with the exchange.

I have been told by RCI and the third party administering Elite rewards that only BOA Customer Service can get that redemption credited to our RCI account, and that has to be done by the end of business today, or we will lose the exchange we have on Hold.

Me to RCI:

Another issue which must be dealt with by the end of business today.

I redeemed RCI Elite Rewards for Member Dollars yesterday, and put an exchange on Hold that I intend to use the Member Dollars for. The credit has not posted.

This morning I called a Guide, who said she would transfer me to an RCI employee (as opposed to Bank of American or the outsourced third party) to get that credit. Instead, I was connected with Bank of America. When Bank of America transferred me to what they claimed would be RCI, it was the outsourced third party handling RCI Elite Rewards.

It appears Bank of America has a block on the Elite Rewards redemption, preventing it from being credited to our account at RCI. I have contacted BOA via their meesage center.

Obviously, if this is not resolved today, we will lose the exchange we have on Hold, unless RCI extends the hold, as a courtesy.

Here's what's up.

I combined our reaining deposit and two credit into one combined deposit credit of 29.

When I searched with it I could not see anything:

Combined Deposit Jan-2012 to Jan-2014 [0] 29 Available to Exchange

The only way I could see availability was to set the search to View All Available Deposits.

I explained that to Feedback, and they replied with the same type of elementary here is how you use RCI reply I have been accusotmed to for more than 20 years.

They told me how to "select deposits." Oh, thanks for telling me how to select from our one deposit.

Like, duh!, how did we ever get to 117 deposits!!!???

I used the 29 for an exchange, so now have 11. On nthe first page of the search, it says:

1901 Resorts (86559 available units)

But when I click on a region, it says:

0 Resorts (0 available units)

Sorry, our search returned no results with availability. You can remove the search term to the right by clicking the icon and trying another term.

Yeah, it is repeated like that, I assume becase they assume I need to be told twice.

Here might be the problem. The relation # of the Combined Deposit is 116, and it is our only deposit.

When I search, it says it is searching on relation # 117, which does not exist.

Why or how, I have no idea.

There's no way to switch it to search on 116 that I can see.

If I search for All Available:

233 Resorts (15527 available units)

and then switch to the Combined deposit, it shows what is available using just that deposit:

118 Resorts (4982 available units)

But, if I click to go to Page 2, it shows no availbility with that deposit:

0 Resorts (0 available units)

OK, I believe the only deposit we now have, the Combined Deposit is 117.

Any idea what they mean by:

According to our records, you do have a relation 117 as a Combined
Deposit. We believe that your system is not updating which is why you
can't see this Deposit.

Actually, I can see it, but not listed as 117.

Available to Exchange

A deposit, any deposit of 11, would not have [0] availability.

I deleted TIF and that seems to have solved it.
