Just looking to see when RCI typically posts the new deposits. I have just taken over as the TS manager of our home and trying to secure a couple 3 br weeks in Feb13. In the past 5 days I have just seen inventory go downhill and I am a little sick of staying up til midnight to find nothing new. Thank you.

Thnks for the feedback. I have just started to take over the RCI duties for the household. A few weeks ago I happened to search before midnight and then refresh after and the disney resorts went from 50 to about 250. In the morning they were back to somewhere just above 50. This was for a year and a half window. I searched some old posts and saw a reference to the inventory at midnight. I guess it was just a fluke.

happymum has the appropriate questions. Where are you looking for?
3br units are harder to find a lot of places and if you're going peak season, you may not have sufficient TPU to get what you want. Are you searching for all availability?
Many resorts don't allow deposits until you pay your maintenance fees. For those resorts, it's may be early to find next February.
I'd start an ongoing search. RCI is having a promotion through 3/25 that allows you to start a search without paying the exchange fee up front. You can still search daily on your own, but this will help grab units that never make it to the online inventory.

Even after there was not a witching hour, many who searched at the witching hour kept doing it.
When I searched daily, it was always over morning coffee, and eventually produced results.
You could read the many novels that have been posted here about this topic.
Regretfully, I am convinced that it does not matter when or how often you search any more, at least for stuff we want. If it isn't being deposited, you can't get it.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

This is not going to be as easy as you think. For starters, you can write off DVC. The chances that they deposit a 3BR unit for President's Week is essentially zero. Likewise for Bonnet Creek; 3BRs there are quite rarely deposited if at all. I don't think Vistana has 3BR units. Translation: you should probably not be too picky about location if you really need 3BR units, especially if you need more than one of them and want them at the same place.
I would consider renting 3BR units from a large-point Wyndham owner at Bonnet Creek.

Orange Lake still deposits 3BRs as does Cypress Pointe Resort. CPR is a short distance from Disney. Still gonna be tough for P-week. Put in an on-going search and check daily yourself on-line at anytime of the day. The witching hour is long gone.Lawren

There is another potential place that could work: the HGVCs. They do have 3BR units, and tend to do very large bulk banks just a few times each year. They have not deposited anything from 2013 yet, but have gone all the way through 2012. Going back over some old posts of mine, this is about the time of year that they've gone in, so they could be deposited any time. No bets on whether they will deposit 3BRs for P-Week though.

Of course, it was the Good Ole Days, up 'til 2 years ago, but, we got 3 bedroom units at OLCC a lot. That's what we always got there. Our last one was a Christmas week.
All by searching online.
There are resorts with four bedroom units, too.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick

If they are deposited as 2 bedrooms and studios you could combine if you saw any of the resorts that have lock off units like I-Drive Tuscany. I believe all the 3 bedrooms at I-drive are just 2 bedrooms with a lock off so that might be a way to get a 3 bedroom close to Disney. Not sure if the 1 in 4 would apply to two units in the same week though.

Excellent source of info
Again thank you all for the info. I have my sights set at summer bay for now. I may try OL but was looking for a little smaller resort and SB had some good reviews. A 3br posted when I first started searching but I hadn't done my research on the resort yet. It was also with in my TP grasp. I was curious why my search from RCI for a 2br and above didn't come up with this one.

I have tried to put stuff on hold, but it wants money from me before it will hold anything.
