I don't think it ever has been made clear exactly how searching online works, as far as what you can see.

It would make sense that if someone has put something on Hold, you would not be able to see it. It would also make sense that if someone puts something on Hold after you see search results, that it would still appear to be available, even though it's not, until you refresh the page, or try to put it on Hold yourself.

My take on that is that after tens of thousands of searches, mostly for high demand/low supply inventory, and seeing the same stuff search after search after search after search, the chances of someone taking something you have just opened, before you can make a move, is pretty remote. It is not a repaidly changing mix we are sometimes led to believe.

But if they did, it should disappear when you make a move.

&, if it is Houses @ Summer Bay you are looking for, they always have been pretty scarce.

I don't think they charge you until you confirm even though you have enter all of the information. At least that is how it works on the points side. I haven't held anything on the weeks side in a few years..ya gotta have more than 7 tpus most of the time to see something you want to hold!

When the holds are released you need to act fast. My guess is that other active ongoing searches are matching (or the long arm of the rental pool reaches in) and a lot of the stuff I think is interesting is gone within 15 mins.

Other than that, I agree. I don't think it's ever happened to me during the day but my bp still rises as I type that cc info as fast as I can.

I wasn't thinking this was a possibility until I just say some of them show up.

On the weeks side, you don't have to enter your credit card information for an EXCHANGE Hold, BUT if you are trying to hold a Last call or Extra Vacation...They need your info

Sorry meant the title of my last comment post. Guess I am just looking for someone to say " Keep checking the availability"
I did not mean to seem like I was attacking anyone.

This is way too valuable a source of info to do anything but show appreciation.
