RCI - Exchange Trading Power Slashed

    Lotsa Orlando.

    Lotsa Branson.

    Lotsa other stuff.
    - - - - -
I opened some Orlando ones and saw stuff available. I could not get any in the Mid South to show availability. My guess it's not working rather than there nor being anything.

Where exactly do you want to go.
I see lots of stuff in Vegas, Palm Springs, Tahoe and probably more.
There is a little red tag on the resorts that are having the sale.
Here's one in Vegas in BG Club 36.

I had looked at the desert places, but so few were discounted that I didn't post.

Branson opened this last time, and everything but October and November is available. That's strange.

I'd like to post the Branson ones discounted to 5 or 6, but it would be HUGE.

            Probably hundreds of units.

Nice on one hand, but not so nice for those of us trying to rent out weeks to recover fees. & not so nice when you realize what it means, that there are so many deposits going untaken.

Not so nice when you consider that it admits the glut, the over-supply and under-demand.

But, that's what is supposed to happen when you have too much of something.

                Well . . . finding someone to pay $625 in a $300 Market?

Maybe exaggerating on the $300 part.

Oh, I'm sorry, I misunderstood. What week do you want, 17 or 28?

Anyone have any thoughts on this, other than what appears to be obvious, that the Evil Empire is having a hard time getting rid of stuff?

In a time of a downturn in interest in timesharing, and a glut of vacation rentals, it seems logical that there would be a glut of Spacebank deposits, too. When an owner can't sell it, and can't rent it out, depositing it would seem to be the next choice.

Of course, the next choice after that would be to not deposit it either, so . . .

Others, independently, are saying the same thing:

"Now everyone can understand why they can no longer rent their units out to cover their maintenance fees for the years they are unable to vacation. 5 years ago my dues were 1/2 of what it would cost for a cheap rental and now it's just the opposite, my dues are twice the amount that I could actually rent the unit for.

I think the timeshare industry is changing for the worst!"

Maybe not the best place to post, and this news is really, really old news, almost not worthy of repeating for the bajillionth time, but, yes, the Evil Empire does offer weeks to non-owners/non-members for less than an annual fee. IMO, and others, stuff like this, started at the beginning of the slippery slope, brought us to the near-bottom of today.

Here is a resort where the annual fee is $625:

                            Site 1:
                            1 bdrm (4/Full) Apr 15-Apr 22 (7) $369.00* ($53*/night)

                            Site 2:
                            1 bdrm (4/Full) Apr 15-Apr 22 (7) $369.00* ($53*/night)

I just received the proposed budget, so make that annual fee $650.
