  • How To with RCI

Ok , so my problem is I have floating 1 & 2 bed weeks with UVC (Universal Vacation Club ) and a 2 bed floating week with Eagle Crest. When I go the RCI website I can not find the trade power as there is not a room assigned until check in.

With my WM's there isn't any problem and I see all kinds of inventory.

I called RCI to see if they knew but the person could not do any better than me with out a room number. What am I doing wrong ?

    Thanks

    Bill

The room number should not have a lot to do with the trading power unless the amenities associated with a specific room are different somehow than the amenities of another room of the same size. It's the week that matters. Can you tell request specific weeks from UVC and Eagle Crest or do they just assign whatever they want when you request a deposit to RCI?

Assuming I understand your question, you can check any resort, any week and any unit size on the trading power calculator. If you check by unit type, say 2-bedroom, it will show you the 2-bedroom units at that resort.

Well, it seems that on the RCI website on the deposit and trade calculator page I cant go any farther than unit number with my float weeks. I am trying to find the trading power of these resorts.

Rooms are assigned at check in and are not assigned on the reservation.

On the WM website I can hit the RCI link and see alot of exchange opportunities.

        Thanks

I have reported glitchiness with the Deposit Calculator ever since it first appeared. Sometimes it works; sometimes not.

Right now it is not for me.

My UVC has 6 different resorts but the code it loads on the RCI page is 2672 Universal Vacation Club Villa del Palmar. I then select option 2, ( I know my room type). The field below has been filled in with "1 bed in the first box" and "patial kitchen -4 (2) " on the line below. The next box is unit number or name and I select "1 Bed - Sat". Now I use the calander and enter a date of Jan 26, 2013.
Ok so now its working and showing a max trade power of 22. Is 22 considered good. What number does the calculator top out at ? If its 100 my tp seems low.

Even though the UVC is now working the Eagle Crest in Redmond isn't. My Eagle Crest shows room numbers in the box that says "unit number, name". With the UVC it was doing the same this morning so maybe its just a glitch as sugested. So I cant find the trade power of Eagle Crest weeks.
                Thanks again

The range is 1 to 60 but if you have something in the 28 to 35 range you will see a lot of good stuff. I checked a week 27 at Eagle Crest earlier and it got a 35 for a 2 bdr.

There are several threads talking about what 8 will get or what 11 will get, etc.

22 for me gets a lot but none of the 26 previous exchanges before the dehancement.

We mighta talk about that a time or two, too.
