Yes, I had both.....Bottom line tho is that it didn't matter. The disappointment, and the possibility of some of our group not being able to go was what mattered.

In this case, the 2 bdrm would have been better, but the 2-1 bdrms will work fine, too. Not having to cancel the trip for some is what really matters.

Funny thing is I was going to start a thread OY too, but they came through pretty quickly, so I didn't even get to it.
Bottom line is that they did the right thing, and I'm happy.......The people that would not have been able to join us actually had customs made for Halloween, so it was a huge deal to them. Everyone is happy!

Question for anyone familiar with The Quarter House...maybe Frank?
I received the conformation from RCI, and I do realize that I may, or may not get the rooms on my confirmation, however....I was wondering if anyone is familiar with these rooms, and what to expect. Do all the 1 bdrms have a door on the bedroom? I can't seem to find any floor plans for the QH.
Room 1 states:

Glad to hear everything worked out. I have been watching this thread interestingly and it is nice to see that they have come through. Although, all they really did was honor the existing commitment they had to provide you accomodations. What I would really like to see is them compensate you for the agravation and stress this would have inflicted upon you.
Of course, we are unlikely to see that happen!Comment

That's great news Ang. They better not make you pay for guest certificates. QH is in a great location too. Stayed there several years ago.
Side story - my cousin lived in NO since she was a young teenager and just loved living there. She lost her job when Katrina hit and moved to TX but made frequent trips back to NO. She met her fiance in TX and earlier this year they moved back and bought a home ON Bourbon St which they've renovated. Getting married next month. She is really into costumes and every parade they have. Halloween will be a blast.Pat HComment

I think Halloween should be a blast, too. We're all wearing costumes, and really looking forward to doing some fun stuff......I looked through a bunch of pics from previous Halloweens, and many of the costumes were just incredible. We're all so excited, and can't wait to get there.....My only fear is that the town will be a bit too crazy for us older folks in the group. LolAngela
