RCI maybe taking specific resort, or quality, into account for deposit power?

I just checked a few different resorts in Park City for the same week, and it appears that RCI would give me different tpus based on RESORT. I 'spose it could be a system glitch (that calculator barely functions much of the time), but take a look and let us know if you find the same when comparing resorts in the same area on the deposit calculator (not in exchange availability, please).

I haven't figured out if it's just based on "crown" status, or if truly reflects demand based on individual resort.... no time just now...

Yes, they can differ based on resort in the same area. I thought that was well known.

I did not know that! I always thought RCI just calculated based on region/week. I guess I'm VERY slow on the uptake.

Agree. Resort quality and location to skiing would matter in this area.

There are 5 silver crown resorts in Virginia Beach 3 are ocean front (2 of the 3 with ocean front balconies) and 2 are one short block from the ocean most rooms without balconies. I checked 1 bedroom units for week 30 in July of 14 and there was a 10 point variance.

In additional I do believe RCI cuts deals with some resorts to give them additional tpu's but at least some of the differences is based on supply and demand.

In Myrtle beach some higher rated resorts are awarded less tpu's than smaller unrated resorts due to location and not amenities.
