If you've never heard of it, I'd just ignore the email and chalk it up to a mistake on their side.

I received it too. I was wondering if anyone else got it. I never heard of it and don't think I ever used it. The link did work from the email. It told me to go back to rci.com and re click on travelers advantage. There is no link that I could see.

It sounds like phishing. Did you click through on the link in the email and then sign into an RCI page using your password? If so, go IMMEDIATELY to rci.com and change your password NOW. And tell RCI that there is a phishing scam going on. And tell your credit card company for the card associated with your RCI account.

When you go back, type www.rci.com into your browser line yourself!

It is not a scam. As usual, RCI has a bug! I wrote to feedback and got this reply.
              Hello,

              Thank you for your e-mail.

The website for our former RCI Travel provider operated under the name
of Traveler’s Advantage. Traveler’s Advantage recently removed all
inactive online accounts. The e-mail was sent to any RCI member that
accessed the old RCI Travel website during the 10 years it was available
              to RCI members.

Please disregard the e-mail you received. Your RCI membership and all
current activity are not impacted. We apologize for the confusion.

Thank you for your interest in RCI.

              Kind regards,

              Elise W.
