  • Is RCI's policy 1 in 5 for Hawaii exchanges?

I recall this policy being somewhere, but have not read it personally, so I wanted to check with your experts.

If you do not own an Hawaii timeshare, are you allowed to exchange to go to Hawaii only once every 5 years?

    Thanks in advance!

The 1 in 3, 4, or 5 rules are assigned to resorts, not to whole regions. There is also something called a regional block where if you own in Orlando, you can't exchange into another resort in Orlando. I have never heard that there is a regional block in Hawaii.

There used to be a one in four or five years on the whole group of Mayan Palace Resorts in Mexico - Sea Gardens, Grand Mayan, Grand Bliss, etc.

Now with many declining to travel to Mexico, I do not think this is in effect any longer.
As Phil said, it is resort specific, another example thru RCI would be The Manhattan Club 1in 4

In other words, when searching online, select a resort by clicking on "Available Units". Scroll down past the available units to view the resort policies, like this one:

        Policy Restrictions
        1 in 4 rule applies.
Animals are not permitted; could result in forfeiture of the unit and/or other penalties.
        Resort non-smoking policy.

for a resort in the GPR cartel in SOCAL.

        Happy, happy, happy!
