  • Is It Working Like This For You?

I would like to know if the issue I'm having is a glitch in the site, or with my computer. So, if some in Weeks would be kind enough . . .

    Click on Florida.

    Click on January, 2015.

Click on a Sub-region, for me it has been Northern Gulf lately because there's nothing in Southern Gulf.

At this point I always want to check either another sub-region (Southern Gulf) for the same month, or go to January, 2016. In event, I have always clicked the back browser button. When you do that, does it go back to the previous page, or does it go all the way back to the first results page, where you have to click on Florida and start all over?

    TIA

Its working fine for me. Jan 2015 shows this. When I click back and forth it seems to go back and forth.

    Jan 2015
    FL - Inland [4]
FL - Northern Atlantic Coast [27]
FL - Northern Gulf Coast [3]
    FL - Orlando Area [23]
    FL - Panhandle [8]
FL - Southern Atlantic Coast [8]
    Jan 2016
    FL - Inland [1]
FL - Northern Atlantic Coast [12]
FL - Northern Gulf Coast [4]
    FL - Orlando Area [10]
    FL - Panhandle [3]
FL - Southern Atlantic Coast [9]

It takes me back to having Florida selected, but not the month. If I just click on the X for Northern Gulf on the left side by "How you got here", it retains the month.

While searching Florida, when I hit the back button, that has also happened to me.

When you hit the back button, it should go to the last previous page. Frinstance, if you go from Florida (all of), to January, 2015, to Northern Gulf, and then hit back, it should go back to the last previous page, January, 2015 (Florida). Mine skips two back, to Florida (all of), then I would have to select January, 2015, again, then another sub-region.

I have reported this, and it has not been fixed, but I wanted to see if the problem is them or me.

            I thought I had tried that. I'll go check. . . .

I was on January, 2015, Northern Gulf Coast, and clicked on January, 2015. It took me back to all of Northern Gulf Coast, when it should have taken me back to Florida, January, 2015.

Now, when I click on Florida, which should take me back to all of Florida, it goes to all of the US.

OK, this is going to sound convoluted, because it is not intuitive, and I may not say it right, but, when you click on something in the "How You Got Here", it does not take you back to there, like you think it would. It takes you back to what to what is left above that, if that makes sense.

So, if I click on January, 2015, it takes me back to all of Northern Gulf Coast. If I click on Northern Gulf Coast, it takes me back to all of January, 2015. If I click on Florida, it goes back to all of USA for January, 2015.

But none of this explains why it does not go back to the last previous page when you click the back browser button.

It seems to no longer be designed to use the back button to navigate.
They want you to use the little X's instead.
This is the way many websites are now these days.
You can't use the back & forward buttons to browse many websites.
              RCI just finally caught up.

Let me amend that slightly to say that when you click on anything on the left in the "How you got here", it goes to whatever is left there.

                Play with it, you'll see.
