Not to mention the letters and emails that I get at least weekly telling me to use the 100k points that I have waiting for me.

Here's the part that blew me away. The guy that called me agreed it was a bad situation. They decided to put the exchange into my weeks account. No tpu's required. We can still go in July, we just can't make any more points reservations. Then we can cancel our accounts after our exchange.

      Not too shabby.
That is good customer service from RCI. Will you be able to go to your own resort at the same date? Carlsbad is a nice resort and we saw it before it was built. They really kept it up nicely all these years.

Back in the days of yore, we went to Chiefs games with a group of neighbors and some of their friends. They always went to one away game, too. One year we went to the Chargers/Chiefs game and we and our neighbors stayed at Carlsbad Inn.

We had a great time and enjoyed the area.

When my Dad went to WWII, he shipped out of La Jolla/San Diego, and my Mom went out to see him off, so it was nice to visit that little area of personal history.

I will be there in late August using my week for the first time.

It will be the first time I've ever used a timeshare week that I actually own!

I sold an EOY even points week a while back (still own an EOY odd at another). RCI keeps insisting that I have my 2014 points available (to borrow since my use year starts Nov 1). I checked with the resort. They insist they haven't authorized any points to RCI and the new owner actually removed the week from points and used it as a week. I have been letting the points sit. I checked my account after reading your story to see if they straightened mine out but no still available.
