Shangri-La Tusifu Resort in Shangri-La County, and Xishuangbanna Resort in Xishuangbanna Prefecture, both in Yunnan Province, have become RCI affiliates.
The 36-room Shangri-La Tusifu Resort is takes in the office and residence of Tusi officials, built more than 1,300 years ago. During the Ming Dynasty, the minority tribal clans in Shangri-La were bestowed with official titles by the central government, which led to the development of the Tusi ruling system in the region.
The resort décor is reminiscent of ancient Tibet, with every piece of furniture, painting and ornament showcasing the rich Tibetan cultural heritage.
Xishuangbanna Resort is in Jinhong, the capital city of Xishuangbanna Prefecture. Opened in 2013, it has 110 rooms and suites, and is 7km from Jinghong Airport.
