Two days ago I put a unit on 24 hour hold in the Wyndham Smokey Mountain resort for 14 TPU's.
The next day RCI had a sale and the TPU's dropped from 14 to 10.
I had already confirmed it and wouldn't have noticed the sale had the page after the confirmation not jumped to the resort page where I
saw the other units on sale and sure enough there was another unit, same size and date for 4 TPU's less.
The system does not automatically give you the sale TPU's on units that are on hold already.
I immediately called RCI and got them to refund the exchange fee and the guide put the unit on hold, but I had to confirm it again online.
Just an FYI to anyone holding a unit to check and see if it's gone on sale before confirming and paying for it.
And I was able to use an 11 TPU deposit instead of the 15 TPU. Which would have left me with 4 TPU that are pretty worthless to me.
Now I have another 15 TPU that is easier to find something I want.
