  • Why can't they get their searches right

Will these guys EVER get their act together with their searches? I have a couple of saved searches. One for Labour Day 2016 and another for Remembrance Day week. I go to my favourites and select the Labour Day Search and everything shows correctly on the left hand side. I go to select Canada, and all of a sudden the search parameters have reverted back to the previous search and I don't get the right results. What is the point of saving searches if they are not going to work? Very frustrating. Or you drill down and it says there are units during a given month, only to find out that no there aren't really and units. I hate wasting my time with them, but they are the ones that have the most availability.

I check RCI for my ongoing searches every single day....just in case. I have been known to find a match sooner than they have...

RCI never gets anything right - I discontinued my membership years ago.

I want to discontinue my RCI membership but still get them phoning me to renew. Have stated I do not want to renew the membership but they say I have to complete a form and this can take some 18 months during which I MUST pay the membership fee.

How did you discontinue the membership. Any information gratefully received. Did you just stop paying the annual fee?

Tell them to cancel your membership, tell them to stop calling you. If they don't cancel, don't send them any money. If they continue calling you after as month, report them to the FCC..

I'm wondering if this is perhaps a unit that is in RCI points? Inside of 12 months the unit automatically goes to points versus the home week, right?

This seems kind of odd. Maybe you have to pay the membership fee if you want to keep the TPUs you have, or if you want to use an exchange that you have reserved for the future. Otherwise, if you have no trades in and no TPUs in, you should be able to just end the membership.

Have you tried calling RCI yourself and speaking to a rep?

If you have an RCI points membership, sometimes they come as a 3 year agreement and you won't get your deeded use of your home property outside of an RCI membership until that time is up.

If you have an RCI weeks account only you can discontinue at any time. If you have deposits or upcoming exchanges they will be forfeited if you do not have an rci account.
