  • RCI Deposit Request

Anyone else getting deposit requests from RCI?

I don't mean the generic kind, but very specific, from a specific person, naming the specific resort and week.

The specific person is a RCI Deposit Concierge Specialist and has a toll-free number and extension different than the standard toll-free number.

So, they have a staff now whose job it is to recruit Spacebank deposits.

I am contacting you because our records show your RCI membership is active; however, you have not yet deposited your 2017 week into your RCI account.

If you will not be using your 2017 week and would like to deposit it, please call your resort, (masked), at masked), and make your reservation for 2017. Then, call or email me with the unit number and check-in date, so I can deposit your week into your RCI account. My contact number is below.

Once I hear from you, I will personally follow up with your resort to get your week processed, approved and deposited for you right away so you may start planning your next vacation!

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can be of further assistance. Have a wonderful day!

    Kind Regards,

II does the same thing, but doesn't have a specified employee sign it and they have been doing it for years. Maybe they had a sudden demand for your resort and week.

        Me too.

They want my Maui week. I've told them they will never get it and to please put that in their notes. And yet, still they call..............

I had no idea that demand for an Ozark Ridge Week, set against a panoramic backdrop of an OF village,
would have such high demand. No accounting for taste, I suppose.

No . . . they want Slimey Slough.

They've always been able to get someone to take it.

You can tell them to stop calling you. I had that problem with II and told them to stop calling.

I've tried that. It didn't work. So now I just don't answer when I see it's RCI.

Under the rules of the do not call list, you can request that companies you do business with do not call you. If I remember correctly, they have a 30 day time limit to get you off their call list.

I wonder if RCI knows that.

In truth, I don't think I ever directly said "Do not call me". I think what I told them was "No way in hell are you getting my Maui week so stop asking me for it".

I have a couple of OGS's going, so I answered to see if they were offering me anything. Usually I ignore them.

I do have an ongoing search going on as well. I still don't answer the phone. They've been very good letting me know, by email, that they haven't found anything for me yet.
