      I got the email too.
They're just trying to make you feel special.
      Whateverrrrrrrr.

They raise their prices and shorten deposit expirations and then mark them down as if it's a big favor.
In the end exchanging just doesn't seem worth the money for TPU's for me anymore and apparently not for alot of other people either.

RCI points still works for me, but II is definitely getting most of my money and deposits now.
It's sad when I can get a nice flagship resort for $250 on rental from RCI that an owner paid $1200 MF.
Why would I give them a deposit when the developer is giving them cheap rentals.
I plan to use them like they try using me.

RCI is like the old story about boiling a frog by heating the water up slowly. The keep raising prices and/or removing benefits, and eventually they'll kill the frog. I really think reducing the expiry on a combined unit to 1 year from 2 was chintzy. Eventually if folks aren't getting enough value from their deposits, they'll stop making them...

          Zig Ziglar

I believe I first used the boiling-a-bullfrog analogy 15 years ago.

It's true, though. RCI subscribers keep settling for less and less.

It will be interesting to see if RCI will be able to survive as more and more resorts join mini-systems with internal trading.

Oops, sorry. Should have figured one of the other frogs had posted it already.

Indeed. You even spelled it as per the comic strip.

I spelled it wrong when I first registered for a forum many years ago, and now use the same spelling everywhere so I can remember it.
