Ongoing Search and Exchange Fees - I hate being Canadian

Haven't posted in a while so hope everyone is doing well. I just combined deposits and it cost me $194 but I needed the extended time to put in an going request.

I was starting the process and had just about gotten to the end when something caught my eye. The charge to put in the request was like $359 CAD but then at the bottom it said something about agreeing to pay the exchange fee if I got my match. My understanding was basically that WAS the exchange fee and that I was paying that in advance.

I am not paying $359 to put in a request and then another $300 and something on top of that if they find what I am looking for. I just want to make sure that if I put in this request and it does come through there are no additional fees. If they don't come up with a match I also get my $359 back right?

I'm not from Canada, but it has been my experience that the ongoing search fee includes the exchange fee. If they don't match it, they refund you.
I have had Platinum for a few years, and now I do not have to pay for ongoing searches.

Thanks Jacki. That is what I thought, but it caught me off guard when it said I would be agreeing to paying an exchange fee.

When I pre-paid for my last RCI search I ended up with the Manhatten Club within 10 days of starting my search. I wanted either the Hilton or Manhatten Club in a 1 bed unit. On a different search for Oahu I pre-paid but decided to rent from an owner and my money was refunded to my credit card when I canceled the search. This was with RCI.
