So I just bought a timeshare from Inverness, the free ones they were giving away for MF's. Anyway they told me that if I were a member of RCI I would get a week deposited into my account. Well I am not a member. I planned on joining II simply because I also plan on buying WorldMark points in the next few months. Does it make sense for me to pay for an RCI membership that I am going to use this once and probably never again? Or should I just give up the week?

If you aren't going to use the week, I would like it RCI membership will cost you about $84, plus the exchange fee for the week through RCI will be $165 in the US or $199 international...

Also when you make an exchange thru RCI your membership must be paid thru the date of the week you want, not the date you make the exchange. If you get a one year membership now you will only be able to look for weeks thru 10/07. If you want to travel after that date you will have to get a 2 or 3 year membership.

You might also look at the links section. You can deposit into an exchange company with free membership like www.daelive.com . Several exchange companies listed in the TS4M's link section have free membership.
