  • RCI Guest Pass (Old Thread 2006)

Now, you can pay RCI to let your non-member friends rent Last Calls and EVs...

The RCI Guest Pass* is a great idea if you have purchased multiple Guest Certificates for the same person in the past, or if you know someone who might enjoy the benefits of timeshare resorts.

The Guest Pass allows you to add someone to your account and they will have the ability to confirm Last CallSM and Extra Vacations on their own! You no longer need to call on their behalf, nor do you have to buy a Guest Certificate each time.

As an added bonus, your Guests can access your exchange week too. All you need to do is give permission with a simple call to an RCI Guide. Best of all, no Guest Certificate fee will be charged. **

The RCI Guest Pass is simple. Your guests help themselves and you save time and money!

    5-year Guest Pass: $149.00 USD
    10-year Guest Pass: $249.00 USD

Share the joy of timeshare vacationing. Call an RCI Guide to learn more about the RCI Guest Pass.

    RCI Weeks Subscribing Members: 1-800-338-7777

    * Added Guests must be 21 years or older

** Guest can access Member's exchange vacations only with specific phone authorization from the Member to an RCI Guide.

Just came back to say that Jenny says that it's a crock of ---- that that the non-members fee is so much less than members pay, when members are the ones that contirbute the weeks to make it all work.

        This is ludicrous.

        Main Entry: lu·di·crous
        Pronunciation: 'lü-d&-kr&s
        Function: adjective
Etymology: Latin ludicrus, from ludus play, sport; perhaps akin to Greek loidoros abusive
1 : amusing or laughable through obvious absurdity, incongruity, exaggeration, or eccentricity
2 : meriting derisive laughter or scorn as absurdly inept, false, or foolish
        synonym see LAUGHABLE

Just another way to abuse the system and get $149 up front to pad the bottom line.

Better think twice, currently, when I do a transaction, I told RCI, charge on the credit card that is on the record. I centainly don't want someone accident charge it for their own pleasure.

But it does give them another way to sell (rent) their inventories to a steady customer.

On the positive side, yeah, it does reward those who help them move excess inventory, and it does allow non-timeshare owners to get involved in timesharing without coughing up a huge furball. (Trying to appeal to the recent spate of cat posts.)

              alittle confused

I was actually thinking this might be a good thing for those of us with adult children-- we actually bought because we thought this would be a good way to help our kids take vacations that they might not be able to afford. We didn't understand we when purchased that their names had to be on the deed for them to use the property without paying guest gift certificates-- so this would be cheaper for us right?

I do not like others having access to my account at all so this would not work for me. Would they be able to see my entire account, credit card, exchange history etc. I recall reading that a person may also be allowed to exchange your week also given permission. I know my cousin would love to do this, not sure if our sons would take the time I do to research trips.

This would be the perfect Christmas gift for the person that has everything !

Of course, we know that RCI changes the rules whenever they feel like it. So, show of hands (or maybe fingers): how many of you actually believe that this program, as stated, will remain as is for the entire 5 years?

I'm sure Last Call and EV will get more and more expensive as time rolls by, which is prob'ly why I won't give this "gift" to anyone.

and amazingly the fee for 5 years is still $149. The current cost for a guest fee is $59 per GC.

Interesting that they still have it. Appears that only one name can be added for the fee.

I have had one of these for my sister, and also one for one of my daughters. It's great. My husband and I actually prefer hotels now, so I give my sister and daughter a LOT of our weeks. Can't beat it for the price.! Everybody's happy! Us in our hotels, them getting free fantastic vacations!
