Guest Certificate refund?

Turns out that our son is not going to use a week that we reserved for him on Maui. We are probably going to use the week in his stead, but I did purchase a guest certificate from RCI for his use. Can I get a refund?
Will they transfer it to another week, perhaps?

If the scheduled week is in January or later, you should get a refund. Otherwise you're probably stuck. From the RCI Terms and Conditions:

RCI will fully refund the Guest Certificate fee when a Guest Certificate (other than a Multi-Year Guest Certificate) is canceled more than sixty (60) days prior to the beginning date of the Confirmation. RCI will not refund the Guest Certificate fee when a Guest Certificate is canceled within sixty (60) days of the beginning date of the Confirmation.

Thanks, Dave. I tried to find it on the site but could not see the information anywhere. Probably not looking in the right place.

The exchange is for May, so I should be okay. Finally, money back from RCI!
