I POSTED ONE COMMENT! I HAVE COPIES OF 6 OTHER COMMENTS THAT WERE DELETED! WHY IS EVERYONE SCARED OF CHALLENGING THE PEOPLE WHO ARE RIPPING THEM OFF? What has happened to this country?

In case you don't know. Madge will answer the questions based on the days the last reply was post. The earliest will get answer first. So, if nobody post, that will eventually be the 1st in line. If anyone make a post, she can have excuse to not answer it.

I think Dave also explain that in another thread OY.

Some people will actually post their ask RCI message into other tug forum if they want see other people's comment and generate discussion.
So if Madge did not answer after several rounds, they can claim louder that RCI is guilty.

TUG unquestionably WILL delete or close Ask RCI posts to protect RCI, and Dave will use double standards OY. I have seen too much of that myself.

Why were these replies not moved, instead of deleted?

This is but one more instance where the conduct by RCI is simply outrageous. They are looting the exchange system, ripping off members and undermining their affiliated resorts.

I hope this info has been passed on to the class action attorneys!

How so? I am a MULTIPLE timeshare owner. I believe in timeshares. I consider THIS forum to be an honest evaluater of what is going on in the industry. I ASKED A LEGITIMATE QUESTION - EVERYONE that owns a timeshare is entitled to an answer. DAVE DID NOT DO THE OWNERS OF TIMESHARES A FAVOR! PERIOD!

Penalize me if you choose! Drop me! Prove that TimeshareForums is just another pawn for RCI etc. We KNOW TUG is! I thought TimeshareForums was different - I KNOW that the members are.

I can ALWAYS resurrect myself with another name - another E-Mail address etc. I AM SIMPLY LOOKING OUT FOR FELLOW OWNERS IN THE TIMESHARE INDUSTRY.

You are not listening Everytime someone posted to your thread, it got moved down in the order it would possibly be answered by RCI. To answer it or not is Madges choice I guess. But it would never get answered if it keeps getting posted to by others.

So cool off and hopefully she will get you an answer posted to your questions. I am sure we would all like to see what she has to say!

On the other hand, her job is not given by Tug, and she has no obligation to answer all the questions she got there. A question like that, she may need some legal help before answer it. Doesn't she also has a Q&A session inside RCI domain?

I, for one, dislike bad investments - like paying $9.30/gallon for bottled water at a ball game or PAYING an annual fee to a bank for the "privilege" of banking there. I would not appreciate the bank holding my money without a guarantee (FDIC) that my money would be there when I wanted it. I would not understand if my bank "LOANED" my money to a borrower who would pay exhorbitant interest rates and NOT pay me interest. In fact, if I wanted to withdraw my money, I really do not believe it would be proper to charge me a large fee to withdraw this money.

'Round here, if someone was taking advantage of people based upon information - statistics - forums - history - facts etc. we would NOT spend our money with that company . . . and we would do our best to help others not make a mistake by advising these people about undesirable business practices.

The attorney handling the class action suit is "amazed" about the "apathy" that timeshare owners share about the possibility of being wronged. I also am disappointed that so many timeshare owners simply "give" money to a company who paid their CEO $138,000,000.00 IN 2005 for his "services" - split their struggling companies into four separate companies - "gave" their stockholders a REVERSE 10 to 1stock split because their company stock value went DOWN in 2005 by 90% - and buried their name forever. Oh, yes, and the company who failed their customers by not furnishing the product that was promised AND paid for!

I don't know that I would call it apathy. Many are upset, but for them this is just more of the same, and old news. They don't bother to post anymore on the subject.

What amazes me are the RCI apologists, admittedly more numerous OY. While they are not that many of them, they are quite shrill and tend to try to beat down anyone raising questions about RCI. OY, some of the posters who disagreed with RCI's policies simply quit posting so as not to have to deal with the RCI apologists.

I think RCI sucks as a company. But that's probably for different reasons than those who loath RCI's rental activities.

I believe that RCI should change it's business model to 100% rentals or 0% rentals. Just decide already. I wish they would just admit which way they want to go and change all of their policies to reflect such as change. If they did, it would be easier to deal with. All the people who want to be in an exchange company could just quit and go elsewhere.

Maybe it is in the water, since I then was likely drinking water from the same source as you now.

Maybe it was the frustration from watching all the cars with JO at the beginning of their license plate fly around me on I-435.

Maybe it was a leftover from watching Serpico in 1973, the Ralph Naderism of that era with groups of young concerned consumers staffing groups like ISPIRG (Iowa State Public Interest Research Group) and all the other PIRGs around the country, or my own involvement and disgust with issues of unfairness perpetrated upon the little person during the last 35 years.

Others with even more experience on Internet Timeshare forums have aready given you their two cents worth, that you may be barking up the wrong tree.

The fact is the Internet Timeshare forums, such as TUG and TS4Ms, are not hotbeds of consumerism, and those who rant and rave, regardless of how valid their points may be, are generally held in disfavor by the rank and file.

It is pure speculation on my part, but could it be because 99 and 44/100% (and they float ) of those who frequent these forums do so because they love timesharing?

So when they hear someone whining about them, their brain goes nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah.

PS: In case Serpico was before your time, in 1971 NY cop Frank Serpico testified about widespread corruption among NYC cops. Then, during an arrest when he was shot in the face no one came to his aid.

I had actually reported one of the deleted posts because it did nothing to help the thread and only served to further incite. It was inflammatory with no redeeming value, just venom. The forum is Ask RCI - it is routine that posts without a question to RCI in them get deleted. This is not an isolated incident nor protecting RCI - it's FORUM RULES.

I have been censored OY before. Sometimes for real infractions, sometimes for disagreeing with 'a popular kid.' In this case, removal may have been warranted, as in the post I reported, but maybe some could have stayed. Who cares - Madge saw the original question so should be coming back around to comment. That's what you want.

Jumping on people on either board and accusing them of being unAmerican is just not gonna help anything (and why would a Brit or Aussie care if they were considered unAmerican?).

TUG should make the Ask RCI forum a forum where the original poster is the only one to ask a question, with no more questions or comments following the OP. Wonder if their software allows it?
