Today, RCI really ticked me off. I can't believe what they did. It's not a huge deal, but it really does show you just how screwed up that company is. And, I hate bad customer service. Far more than their rental activities.
First, I should start out by saying that I am an RCI Points owner, an RCI weeks owner, a Fairfield owner, a WorldMark owner and a Bluegreen owner. Each of the memberships come with a so-called "free" RCI account that I pay for in the form of my annual dues to these other timeshare groups. So, in essence, I pay for 5 RCI accounts on an annual basis. That should be enough to madden anyone.
Second, I wanted to deposit a Bluegreen week this morning into the spacebank. No problem, right? I'll just do what I always do. Call the RCI Points line and have them do it. WRONG. I was told that I need to call the WorldMark line since that is my "master" ownership. I don't know why. I have NEVER once used my WorldMark credits to book anything in RCI.
Third, I say okay, so I call the WorldMark line. Guess what? They are on California time. They are NOT open yet. It's 10 am in the east coast and I can't access the WorldMark line for RCI since it is closed.
Fourth, I say okay, no problem, I call the RCI line for Bluegreen owners. Since I am depositing a Bluegreen week, it shouldn't be a problem, right? WRONG. The person tells me I need to call the WorldMark line for RCI. I am now steaming since I already know it's closed.
Fifth, I call back the RCI Points line. The guide gives me the same crap. She tells me to call the WorldMark line. I told her I want to deposit a Bluegreen week. She tells me the number. I cut her off saying I have it already and I don't want to talk to WorldMark. She insists on telling me the WorldMark number. I tell her simply to transfer me to a supervisor.
Sixth, I get the supervisor. He apologizes. Tells me their policies that I need to call the Fairshare Plus line for Fairfield, the WorldMark line for WorldMark and the WorldMark line for everything else except for RCI Points. But, that is only if I don't want to deposit the week first into my RCI weeks account. If I do that, then I need to call WorldMark to deposit the week into my weeks account even if it is a Bluegreen week that I am depositing.
What a JOKE. No wonder RCI isn't growing. They suck.
