  • Un-used weeks at RCI

I have two weeks in RCI that I dont think I will get to use before they run out in December '07 anyone know how I can give them to another RCI account.....at not cost.

Is no cost in the RCI dictionary?

I'm pretty sure there is a transfer fee, but maybe the recipient wouldn't mind paying it?

If it is FF generic week, the other end may need to be a FF owner. But I can not say for sure.

You can do a spacebank transfer to another RCI account for $79 each week.

and no. the words "no cost" do not exist at Cendant.

You might be better off booking it for them and letting them pay the exchange fee plus the GC fee. This works out better for them since they have to pay $79 to transfer and then they still have to pay an exchange fee to exchange it. You can also give it away to a School for a Charity event.

The two are FF generic weeks a blue studio and a white studio. Therefore there is no online "search" function with them just much phone conversations with the VC. Hence the simple step would be to transfer to another person who could do their own calls to the VC.

Sadly I think they are going to end up on the rentals heap, and it jerks my chain when that road brings nothing back to the owners of the weeks.

Strangely, I suspect (without knowing ) that even though they are FF Generic weeks they may be subject to the same RCI restrictions on transfer as a real/visible week.

i.e. It will cost to transfer.

If so, BigFranks advice may be applicable.

              What does RCI say.?

You could issue a guest certificate to someone else, then they can do the calling. Is it $79 to transfer both weeks or $79 each? I think guest certificates are now up to $59.
