This was a first for me... I called RCI to see if one of my undeposited weeks would, if deposited, pull the Manhattan Club I just saw with another week. Rather than the usual 'I can't tell you unless you deposit it,' the VG told me "yes, it will pull it."

So I went ahead and deposited the week. Guess what? "There is no availability right now." But, the funny part was "but the probabilities show very high for the end of January and most of February." When I told the VG I could see the weeks with one of my banked weeks at another resort, she said that there may just be a 'glitch' on their end at the moment, but it should clear up shortly.

I was going to say that one of the questions everyone wants to know when they first buy is whether their week will trade into such-and-such. But, actually, that is not on most new owners' minds because they have all been told they can trade to any resort, anywhere, any time, or something very similar to that.

But at the point when you begin to think that is possibly not true, about like when you first began to think that Santa Claus was not a real person (maybe), you call RCI and ask if you can get such-and-such if you deposit your week. Of course, the schpiel used to be that deposting your week is a final transaction, blah, bla, blah, and they cannot tell you without it being deposited.

What they oughta say is, "Hey, Bud (don't you just hate people who call you Bud, who call everyone Bud?). That's the fun of this. Give us that week and see what you get!"

Has anybody been able to exchange GPP for the Manhattan Club? If so, how long was your week banked and how far in advance?

This is one of those threads where it would be nice to have a thread starter date, like they have figured out how to do OY.

OY stands for Over Yonder, referring to TUG.
