I saw the new "ad" last week and had the same reaction. Though it's probably at least partially true. I bet there are plenty of Labor Day weeks in the Hurricane Belt, and Memorial Day mud weeks at ski resorts.

I believe they include food, drinks and 2 or three tour trips. I can't eat or drink that much to even break even anymore. Now you know why the non AI resorts are harder to exchange into.

Since we're talking about AI now, when I search a Mexican resort for an exchange, RCI says it is mandatory AI. An owner I know says no way, they've never heard of that.

So, could it be that it is mandatory AI for RCI exchanges, but optional for owners?

I think I have heard of one or more who originally sold the place as not mandatory that give those owners the option (tho one was infamous for not being able to reserve them a week). I think if one of these non manditory weeks go into the spacebank, they become mandatory (probably by resort designation).
