I guess roses come with thorns, huh?
Yesterday I redeemed points for RCI Member Dollars. When I waded through the online transaction, at the top of the receipt page it said the transaction was completed and gave a confirmation number while the bottom of the page said there had been a problem and the transaction had not completed. Neither RCI or whoever is handling it now for BOA could give me a straight answer.
But that is not my warning.
This morning I noticed that the interest rate for purchases, balance transfers and checks has snuck up to 19.24% and for ATM transactions to 26%. I/we would never have an account with interest that high (if it wasn't for the rewards program).
I'm surprised that the rates are not usurous, or that any major company would put their name on something like that.
So, if you use it, make sure you pay the full balance due every month.
