Although I did not agree with the "RCI Speak" that went on in that forum it is just another facet of Cendant's disdain for timeshare owners.

I would like to think that the message that they would no longer participate would be delivered in a more formal manner.

Maybe RCI didn't like seeing the independents getting forums over there. Perhaps that was something they didn't consider when they stole our idea of forums for independent exchange companies.

It is bad business to not say a word. I too was wondering where Madge went. Not that I thought all of her information was accurate or even true, but more RCI Speak most of the time.

I always noticed when there were tough questions out there she rarely had a response, or it would be some BS about prioritory information...like we didn't know what that meant.

All I hope is that Madge is not ill; she did the best with what she was allowed to do and I wish her well.

RCI should have at least the courtsey for their consumers to post that they will no longer be posting on the board and to let us know that Madge is OK, just not doing this particular job anymore.

TUG no more 'stole' the idea of forums for the independents than TS4Ms 'stole' the idea of a timeshare related forum from TUG. Grow up!

I joint Tug pretty late. But my understanding is over the year, she has been in the middle of numerous changes. And for a newbie, she does help people moving in the RCI world. Thus has a chance to grasp and set some possible expecation. Consider a lot of people was living in a fantasy world built by salesperon, it is hugh task. As with the internet get advance and owner get more experienced, she will only be able to be a company spoke lady.

I am sorry I could not say goodby to her. And I am sorry that I have a feel that recently, it may no longer a enjoyable situation for her.

It appears to be just another - we can do whatever we want & we don't care how this affects the owners or their opinions on the matter.

A post alerting us to the "change" would have been much more professional.

I keep trying to be optomistic about RCI & WYN, but it is getting more & more difficult.

The powers that be probably didn't see any value <read $$$> in supporting that forum any longer.

We no longer give them our best weeks because we don't see any value in doing so. When a summer east coast beach week trades like a late deposited Orlando week RCI is telling us that they don't want them anymore.

So we all don't have to call, can you share what department that is?

I've noticed in the past that when Madge has been on vacation, emails to feedback@rci.com don't get answered as promptly. As soon as she comes back, the answers start flowing. I've always wondered if she was in that department.
