I think that when II quit participating it was much the same.

Actually, that was different because CraigU announced that he would be leaving and I believe he stated a date in advance. He also indicated II wouldn't be replacing him. He didn't just disappear with no word as Madge seems to have done.

I agree. The loss of Bootleg on these forums was a bigger loss to timesharing than the loss of ''Madge''.

I've noticed in the past that when Madge has been on vacation, emails to feedback@rci.com don't get answered as promptly. As soon as she comes back, the answers start flowing. I've always wondered if she was in that department.

I think I'm older than you and I think everyone knows where my allegiances lie. And furthermore, if TUG was a decent place where everyone was happy and well treated, there wouldn't have been a revolt and new timeshare sites. I've grown to expect the worst from you from your prior commentaries and have never been disappointed.

TUG no more 'stole' the idea of forums for the independents than TS4Ms 'stole' the idea of a timeshare related forum from TUG. Grow up!

tony does have a point. I wonder if RCI just decided that it wasn't getting anything out of the TUG relationship anymore. why put someone on the message board if they are constantly getting slammed?

and, when independents are showing up, why should they put up with being on an even playing field with them? I think tony may be onto the straw that broke the camels back for rci.

Realy we stole it, Maybe GM should not have made cars because Ford came out first. I have never said anything negative towards Tug in the past and I am not going to start now. If you do not know about the past or forgot you should not post as you did. I will say Read Tony's post and maybe you will recall what went on that caused the start up of tips and then this site.

I don't think Keith is saying that we stole TUG's idea of having a bbs. Besides every man and his dog has a bbs. That's his point.

However, in my opinion, there's no doubt that TUG got the idea of independents representation from our site. They were not interested before Boca kept bringing it up as our strong point OY. Good one Boca.

Heaven.

Many could see that Ask RCI was just not working for RCI anyway. Madge was often in a tight spot with all the questions and then RCI had to deal with all the issues and be accountable publicly. Im sure they would have found that very uncomfortable. Especially when it got to the stage where what Madge said was different to what VG's were saying and how they were operating, e.g. pts instant exchanges, etc.
