    Oh, you mean paranoia.

Psychiatry. a mental disorder characterized by systematized delusions and the projection of personal conflicts, which are ascribed to the supposed hostility of others, sometimes progressing to disturbances of consciousness and aggressive acts believed to be performed in self-defense or as a mission.

Inside Guy recently mentioned a much more important turnover, with disparaging remarks about the outgoing person. Amazing that that flew under the radar of the ex-spirts here and OY.

But the elimination/termination/removal of a low-ranking flunky spokesperson (no personal offense to Margaret intended, since I suspect most of us have been low-ranking and flunky at sometime in our life ) is a major deal!

Shows to go where the focus is for some. Low.

Who's Margaret? That's not Madge's name. I guess Inside Guy must have been talking about somebody else, or he doesn't know who she is.

JMHO, of course. But it seems obvious.

RCI is simply a typical large corporation which has absolutely no clue reference computerization and customer service. They are probably staffed by the middle age ThinkTheyAre's and Wannabe's who know EVERYTHING yet care, not about the company, but about ONLY their own personal agenda.

I think it was just downright rude for Madge to leave without saying bye. I've lost all respect.

Too much controversy, I suppose. Clearly there are differing opinions about what quality of what was being posted, so perhaps they decided it was beter to say nothing at all. But don't be too quick to blame Madge - she my have had specific instructions.

Well my patience finally ran out. Our RCI pts account ended 31st July 2007.

Sydney, does this mean that you have a week-based account again? Did you have to pay dearly for that conversion you made from weeks to points or did you buy a cheap point-based package on the re-sale market, I hope?

I wonder if Madge just disappeared and is no longer working for RCI and nobody at RCI felt it necessary to post her departure.

We have plenty of independent representatives posting here who we can ask our questions to and they may have better deals. RCI is only one of many exchange companies, if you need to use one. There is plenty to read about RedWeek too and they may become competition to RCI or others and competition is good for us, the consumer.

We paid $299AUD to convert, or thereabouts. We didn't buy a cheap points base package as two of our resorts were already in the pts system. Now we have a weeks account.

Just guessing, like I do on all my posts!

Guessing, you know, sorta like some of the ex-spirts here and OY do about so many things.

I know her name is a derivation of Madge.

But thanks for following my comments until you found something to pick about. It's been awhile.

As to the rest of Post 17, still nobody here or OY has mentioned the shake-up at the top of RCI, a new head hauncho.

Doesn't having a new person at the top make sense as to why changes are made? How many spokespeople get held over and how many programs get changed when a new politician gets elected? Is the business world not similar? Why would you expect things to remain the same when someone new takes over the helm?
I'm surprised that no one has suggested that.

If anyone was nasty to Madge, it wasn't the people on TUG, it was her bosses, making her sprout all those ridiculous lies from RCI.

I like to think that Madge finally saw the light and told RCI "no more," but they can't fire her because she knows too much and would run to the attorneys, but she can't quit because she needs the job with them, which would explain the silence, but I think the most likely reason is simply that it costs too much.

It was obvious that every time anyone asked her a difficult question, there was a major evolution and board meeting at RCI to attempt to frame some sort of half-plausible lie to tell, and that this process was the expensive part of all that for RCI.

Isn't Ken May still in charge at the top, though? So whatever management changes were made were made at levels between him and Madge?

I think that Madge still could have left a message on the TUG BBS that her services were no longer being offered. A reason did not have to be given but at least it would have been courteous.

It did not look like RCI quit. It looked like they didn't answer emails for a bit, and the ego of someone at TUG got impacted. So, TUG terminated the relationship and blamed it on RCI's lack of communication.
