It did not look like RCI quit. It looked like they didn't answer emails for a bit, and the ego of someone at TUG got impacted. So, TUG terminated the relationship and blamed it on RCI's lack of communication.

The last post from Madge I can find was June 27, and TUG didn't declare RCI was no longer responding until July 27. To me that is well beyond "didn't answer emails for a bit." BTW, I'm not a fan of RCI and have let my membership expire. I just think your comment is a bit unfair to the TUG moderator.

That's BS. TUG revered their relationship with RCI and protected it furiously, my TUG status can atest to that.

What? TUG moderators are among RCI's most adamant defenders and general boot lickers. They would have NEVER terminated RCI's presence on that board.
