I'm interested in the opinion of the veteran RCI points owners about the following:
Pahio was acquired by Wyndham in 2006. Wyndham is now trying to get owners of the Pahio resorts to convert their fixed and/or floating weeks into the Wyndham UDI points based system. With a hefty retail UDI points purchase required .... $10K - $20K minimum.
Certain of the Pahio resorts are RCI points resorts. Owners at the Pahio Bali Hai Villas resort may have their fixed or floating weeks enrolled in RCI points, where they can deposit their week in exchange for RCI points.
If Pahio owners convert any weeks to the Wyndham points based system that were previously enrolled in RCI points, have they forever forfeited their abiliy to enroll those weeks into RCI points after the Wyndham UDI conversion? Or can they try to reserve their week at Wyndham's 10-13 month ARP window and then try to enroll it into their RCI points account?
I suspect the answer is no on both accounts, but wanted a more seasoned person's opinion.
My understanding is that Wyndham no longer allows its UDI owners to deposit weeks booked under the points system into RCI. But even if this could somehow be done, doesn't the RCI points system forbid weeks from other points based systems from being enrolled or deposited under the PFD option?
