I have a 2bedroom gold crown deposited with RCI a year in advance...
I want Hawaii 5/2009,
How do I set up a ongoing search that will work? (I hear only bad experiences)
What resorts should I request?
Etc. ???

You need to be a little more specific. Which island, or islands are you wanting to visit? What other criteria do you have? I've had pretty good luck with on-going requests for Hawaii, in fact we spent two weeks there this summer. I didn't start looking until about a year out though.

May is off-season so you have a good chance of getting your exchange. If the unit you deposited with RCI doesn't have sufficient trade power, you might not get offered anything until about six or eight months before check-in, when trade power requirements start to decline.
