Time for another rant regarding RCI's antics

It is hard to not notice things when I spend so much time looking at the RCI spacebank. What has touched off my latest bombast was a simple Williamsburg exchange opportunity. http://www.timeshareforums.com/forum...er-2009-a.html

HOW MANY TIMES have we all heard how EASY it is to trade into overbuilt locations like W'Burg and Orlando? I've done it myself.

So what if? What if RCI has made it difficult to trade into even the overbuilt areas in summer even with advanced planing?

So now I will post the results for Orlando in Summer. 20-jun thru end of August for 2008. Using 3 different traders.

The tiger sees only 15 resorts. I'll stick with the largest campus in Orlando for comparison purposes.

The dog can't hunt as the week use expires before summer 2009.

But those are pretty strange results. The tiger sees only August. The moderate trader sees only June....

OK what is pulling those July weeks? I was using a summer SCal in my example. I can see all those weeks with another strong trader. Hmmmm.

hmmm so that's the game now. If you want to see what we have , if anything, you have to deposit 18+ months out.

I still don't like what I'm not seeing. Where have the HGVC Orlandos gone?

Yes my floats can be reserved 13 months out but my fixed week can go 2 years if I pay my MFs.

The thing is.....I'm not seeing dependable deposits. HGVCs in Orlando used to bulkbank about 6 months out. Now we are lucky to see them 60 days before check-in. The last bulkbank I can recall was Houses and that was super early for 2009. Just very wierd.

and IF we timeshare addicts on forums truly represent only 10% of RCI membership what must be happening to the rest? The must be trading for something. What happens when they can't get WILLIAMSBURG????

How are people going to get multi-units for family reunions and stuff. I have someone on the "wish list" looking for W'Burg and I haven't been able to give her anything to work with for 2008. I wonder if Massanutten will work for her. I can still see tons of Mass.
