Well RCI has made their Extra Vacations much easier to read.
Wow lots of deals. You can pull up lots of offers for rentals. Too bad they aren't working as hard on the regular exchange program.

That's a nice change, but unfortunately, the site appears to be malfunctioning for me as I click on a resort to look at prices and it changes to a different resort, sometime in a different part of the world.

I hate it. Cumbersome, way too many clicks. The listing column on the left is useful. Just like RCI to spend mega-bucks on the rental side of the platform.

There are some nice things available for a price, nothing in my favorite areas of caribbean and southern florida during first quarter. That is refreshing as their is nothing in the exchange pool either.

PS By "nothing" I mean stuff outside of the Bahamas and Dominican Republic.

Oh, I think it's a vast improvement !!!
Used it today and was through in less than half the time it usually takes.

Yes, it is amazing how much I.T. they have invested in the RENTALS area....of course, that only shows how little they value the the timeshare EXCHANGE area, for exchanging that is...they LOVE it for deposits.

Giving the devil his due, etc. I think the new system is easier but had the same problem that someone else did the navigation didn't always work correctly and sometimes ended up not where I thought I was going.

I've looked at Last Call and Extra Vacations--essentially the same format. I can't comment on whether they actually work, but they are a great way of planning and searching.

They allow you to search just about any way you want.

If you care to take the time, they are also educational--what's available and what's not, for what times, and for how much. It is likely a much better indicator than Red, White and Blue.

As to the comments about rentals, yes, I still feel it is a conflict, that the temptation is too great for a company with a shady past when it comes to keeping the books. But, it seems obvious that the future for those who don't jump ship will be rentals or exchanges for deposits plus cash.

The new format is not 100% trustworthy.

I spent more time playing with Florida EVs this morning, searching by the different options. By accident, merely because a resort is a favorite of ours, I noticed it listed by name but not by location. It was totally excluded from the locations listing.
