I have noticed recently that with my 2 bedroom so-so trader that I am only able to see 1 bedroom or less units. I have seen sightings of 1-2 bedroom units, but when I look, I can't see the 2 bedroom units. They could be gone. Has anyone notice this, too?

Week for week - whats that?
Trading a week for another week in RCI or II is practically a quaint idea now. Those systems basically stopped being functional a couple years back. With RCI its Points or rentals - with II you need to be in one of the preferred groups - usually points based - or rent as well. What is left in the straight 7 day for 7 day trades are at best leftovers and usually smaller units, older, less desirable resorts.
The change was noted about 3 years ago and in another 2 or 3 week for week in those companies is likely to be just a memory.

Although declining in health, the annouced death of Weeks is premature. As someone who knows told me once, "It is a paid-for money-maker," or words to that effect. I haven't heard the percentages lately, but the majority of RCI exchanges are still through Weeks.
Like I said, I've noticed a decline, but not related to the size of units. Our two weeks in Florida starting Saturday are both in 2-bedroom units.
I do know that some studios can obtain larger units and some cannot. There's more to the comparable trade equation through RCI than unit size. In my searches and comparison with others, I have noticed that size of unit is the first indicator of trading power differences.
We have studios and here's some units (size) from a typical search:

Well RCI has certainly tightened the screws on perceived trade-ups. Even on some, not all, bulk spacebanks most weeks can only see the smaller units or non-prime exchanges.
Some tiger traders are getting the shake-down if not deposited 15 months or more in advance as well. I'm not the only one that has had that happen recently.Lawren

My one unit is a floating unit that can only be reserved 9 months out, so that probably doesn't help. Next year, if I don't use it, I am going to with TPI, for sure. It was the first week of June on a lake in mid america and Gold Crowne, and in the past has had OK results.
